INDUSTRY

Smart Infrastructure & IoT

City and building systems fail on operations rather than on technology. The sensor works; the fleet of four thousand of them, across nine sites, on three connectivity types, with two firmware versions, is what becomes unmanageable. Faststream builds these systems around provisioning, update and diagnostics from the start.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What engineers ask before they call.

01

What makes large IoT deployments difficult?

Operations rather than technology. Provisioning, configuration management, staged update, diagnostics and access control across thousands of devices on mixed connectivity is the hard part; the individual sensor rarely is.

02

How can a platform be tested before devices are manufactured?

With the IoT Simulator, which generates realistic populations of simulated sensors and gateways across MQTT, MQTT-SN and LoRaWAN, so ingest, alerting and platform behaviour can be exercised at fleet scale before hardware exists.
