NFC Fuel Tank Identification

NFC tag identification of fuel tanks, so that dispensing is authorised against the actual vessel rather than a manually keyed reference. The reconciliation problem it solves is not technical — it is that manual entry is where the discrepancies come from.

NFCFuelAuthorisationReconciliation
WHAT IT IS

The short version.

Fuel reconciliation is a paperwork exercise in most operations, and paperwork exercises produce discrepancies. Somebody keys a vehicle or tank reference, sometimes correctly, and the difference between what was dispensed and what was recorded accumulates until an audit finds it.

An NFC tag on the tank removes the keying step. The tank identifies itself to the dispensing system, authorisation is checked against the actual vessel, and the dispensing event is recorded with the identity attached rather than transcribed.

The result is that reconciliation becomes a query rather than an investigation, and unauthorised dispensing becomes difficult rather than merely against policy.

Maturity — silicon-proven, FPGA-validated or RTL stage — is confirmed at enquiry for the specific configuration you need, rather than claimed generically here.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

Deliverables and support.

Next step

Send the target node, the interface requirements and the integration context. If this is not the right fit, that will be said early rather than discovered at integration.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Questions asked before an evaluation.

01

How does NFC fuel tank identification work?

A passive NFC tag on the tank identifies it to a reader at the dispensing point. Authorisation is checked against that identity, and the dispensing event is recorded with identity, volume and authorisation together rather than keyed manually.

02

What problem does it actually solve?

Manual entry. Reconciliation discrepancies overwhelmingly originate in transcription, and removing the keying step turns reconciliation from an investigation into a query.
