WHAT IT IS

The short version.

Bringing operational technology and information technology together is largely a hardware question before it is a software one. Something has to sit on the plant floor, survive the environment, speak to the machines in their own protocols, and present the result to systems that were designed for an office.

A modular industrial PC does that job: I/O modules chosen for the signals actually present, communication ports for the buses in use, and control software that can run the local logic without waiting on a network round trip.

Faststream supplies and integrates this range as part of automation deployments. It is not Faststream-designed hardware, and saying so is more useful than implying otherwise on a site whose whole premise is in-house engineering depth.

No. It is supplied and integrated as part of automation deployments. Custom hardware — gateways, trackers, controllers and edge inference nodes — is designed by Faststream.
