SOLAR PANEL MONITORING SYSTEM USING IOT

Using proactively monitoring Solar Panel Monitoring System for their functioning and addressing faults, we can retrieve efficient power output against faulty solar panels, connections, dust gathered on panels lowering output, and other such issues affecting solar performance.

Faststream Technologies offers an automated IOT-based solar panel monitoring/troubleshooting system that allows for automated solar panel monitoring from anywhere over the internet. As part of our solution, we make use of several IoT gateways suitable for different needs, based on SoCs like STM32, ESP32, unbox, CC3200, and Silicon Labs to monitor the solar panel parameters. Our system constantly monitors the solar panel and transmits various parameters to the Cloud over the IoT system. Here we make use of the IoT platform to transmit solar power parameters to Amazon/ Azure cloud /IOT server via a gateway (over Wi-Fi and Ethernet). A powerful web interface allows the viewing of data in meaningful formats, enabling users to make decisions. The alerts originated from Panel come to the rescue in tackling situations like output falling below specific limits or some sort of malfunctioning. This makes remote monitoring/handling of solar plants very seamless and intuitive, addressing faults within the stipulated time.

We also have Alerts and a monitoring interface on Android/iPhone for distributed Solar Panel Monitoring systems (SPMS). This method utilizes the Bluetooth interface of Android/iPhone as a communication link for data exchange with the digital hardware of the Solar Unit.

Introduction to an instant monitoring solar panel system that is constituted with a sensor on current and voltage measurements of each panel source. The related values are measured with the developed sensing circuits and processed by the 18F4450 microcontroller of the Microchip. The processed parameters are then transmitted to the personal computer (PC) over MODBUS to be saved in the database and to observe the system instantly. The Coded visual interface of monitoring software can manage the saved data to analyze daily, weekly and monthly values of each measurement separately.

Dust Monitoring and Alerting System

  • Faststream Technologies Dust Monitoring & Alerting System (DMAS) alerts Solar Panel Owners on when to clean the Solar panels.
  • It is a Data-driven system that continuously monitors the level of soiling on Solar panels.
  • It helps in data-driven rationalizing O&M Cleaning schedules of the Solar Panel Plant.
  • It can be optionally connected with our Pyranometers and Rain sensors to further enhance its Alerting cycles.
  • DMAS comes bundled with a Web dashboard for Real-time monitoring.
  • The actual alerts are sent automatically through SMS and Emails.
  • DMAS seamlessly integrates with our Wireless connection system.
  • DMAS will help immensely saving water consumption and labor cost.

FEATURES

Features of our Smart IoT Gateways:

We offer Smart IoT Gateway Solutions for the Solar Industry. Our IoT Gateway Solutions provides reliable and highly scalable solutions for IoT deployment. The IoT gateway is a versatile device that reads the MODBUS memory map of any RS-485 MODBUS protocol device and sends the data to the cloud server. The data stored can be viewed as per customer requirements on the dashboard. SIG is an ideal solution for the online monitoring of RS-485 MODBUS data.

Our IoT Gateway Solutions mainly consists of a GSM module and a microcontroller-based control circuit. It supports generic MODBUS RTU, MODBUS TCP/IP, and MODBUS over TCP/IP Protocols for data acquisition and uses MQTT protocol to communicate with IT application databases on the cloud. Multiple slave devices can be configured. It can remotely monitor all Solar panel sensor data to the cloud server.
